HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is probably my favorite day of the year! I miss America soooo much and just everything that is there!!
As for this week, it has been really hard because my companion is not very motivated and has 2 transfers left and doesn’t really want to go outside. I’m starting to go a little insane from literaly doing nothing and having nothing to do except read the book of mormon. I have tried many times to get him outside on time and to go work but he just does not want to. I e-mailed the President to see what I should do. Transfers are next week and we will see if he leaves or not.
So not much happened this week other than a couple of things. The church here is very nice its another branch so I’m excited for that and the members seem nice. At first they seemed kinda rude but I think its just because they are Italian. Anyway because it was Fast sunday and my first Sunday in Gorizia I went up and explained a little who I am and gave my testimony. After church a member came up to me and said, (I will write it in Italian first) “mi ha sprizzato mio pelle” which means literaly translated “you sprayed my skin” but for us it would be “you gave me goosebumps”. So it’s nice to know that I gave a good impression my first day.
One day doing casa we met this kinda crazy lady who is a sister to a member and she was busy so she said to come back so we did. We taught her and she just does not understand anything and doesn’t want to change but she invited us back for dinner, so I just cant deny a dinner so we have an appointment with her Thursday.
Monday I went to Trieste for a scambio and it is an amazzzzzing city! holy cow the most beautiful city I have ever seen. It is in the hills and so it is all hilly everywhere. The Adriatic Sea is there and I just can’t describe it to you! It is just a thing you have to see for yourself but I did take some pics and I will be going to Trieste for many P days I think.
So thats basically this week. Anziano Sanders, my companion, is from Nevada close to Las Vegas . I was transferred because a missionary in my group went home. so Pres. Wolfgramm had to close one compaionship in Modena and because I was there so long he transfered me too. It is sooo much cooler here than in Modena so dont worry about it being hot and humid, that’s all Italy . Modena and Mantova area is the worst and that’s what all Italians say too. The Modena apartment was crappy but it has been an apartment for like 20 years with only missionaires in it.
Ask the FBI guy if I should join the military like army for better expierience. I thought about doing hostage rescue but basicaly I would have to join the army rangers which is the most difficult branch of the army and also go to paratrooper school which is jumping out of planes which would be really fun! And my right eye if you remember isn’t quite as good as my left. Italy won soccer. They went to the finals against Spain and lost and Spain won the world cup a couple years ago or last year so they are the best and Italy lost 4-0 so Spain is still really good. That’s good that AJ finally got a job. he better work hard so he doesnt lose it!
Also about my car what did you do with it? If nothing could you have richard or parker take out the sub in the back for me and also the amp and stereo or the sun will just fry it all.
love and have a great week and I thought that you wouldn’t write me. I was worried because your e mail wasnt in here when I started.
Love you,
Jake
