Hump Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One year done on Friday can you believe it !!!

Well I’m still in Modena as I said last week.  You know when I got my call I was expecting to be traveling Italy and doing some cool stuff  and talking to a lot of  people but I have literally been in the same area for a year now and now that I’m killing Anziano Strobelt I might be here at least until the end of August or so!  Oh well, I guess  I’m here for a reason and this is the plan!

Last Thursday,  I picked up my new companion, Anziano Strobelt, he is super funny, we are going to have a great transfer together. I can’t really remember exactly what day it was but maybe Saturday and we met this super cool African guy named Matais, he is from the Ivory coast in Africa and speaks French and Italian. He understands authortity really well and is super awesome.  He lives close to church and has a baptism date for the 30th of June! 

Yes there was another earthquake in Modena on Sunday around 930 at night.  We were in centro or the center of the city  and next to the big tower.  I thought it was coming down and it set off store alarms and everything!  Just when all the shanty towns of tents were being put away they were put right back up. I think God is trying to tell Italy something but it just makes the work even harder not easier because the people tell us crisis and they don’t have time.

I did another scambio with Anziano Moh and it was such a funny scambio. At the end of the night we went to get gelato and at the end of that my bike and Moh's bike were super far away so I went on Anziano Briscoes bike and Moh went on Anziano Droghei's bike Anziano Briscoe and I made it fine to my bike.   Meanwhile the other elders got lost and so I called them and guided them and then  I heard a super weird noise and the phone shut off, so I called back and nothing and then again and nothing.  Finally they answered at this point and said my rim is trashed and my phoned died so turned the phone back on thinking they hit some one or something or a car and they said come to us and I did and saw the bike.  I have never laughed so hard in my life!!!!!!!!! because they were so heavy they folded the back rim in half.  It was so funny I have never laughed for so long.

So that’s basically my week.

I got my package and  yes the turtles are in a park here, they are everywhere!
