June 13, 2012

well not much happened this week and I will explain why.  But first what did happen is that we rode our bikes out to this members house that lives far away but not super far away and we got out of the city on this main highway and trucks and cars are just zooming past us and I was just scared out of mind that we were going to be hit, But we weren’t, thank goodness!  Once we got off of this highway we were on country roads and it was so great to be out of the city and see just nothing but  wheat and stuff for miles it was kind of like the Gladiator, the movie, and the very end when he is dying and he keeps flashing back to the after life and this life seeing his wife and kids when he is walking through the meadow with the grass touching his hands. I always kind of  imagined Italy like that and that’s what we saw on this bike ride. it was super relaxing.

Then the next day my toe was a little infected and so I decided to play doctor and I just ended up making it a lot worse.  So everyone else in the apartment said we have to heat a needle and poke my toe to get some of the infection out of it.  So I prayed about it and we did it but nothing came out of my toe so we called the President and he said to call the doctor in our ward and he did the same thing just a little less sketchy and then he gave me antibiotics and now everything is better.  My toe still hurts a little bit but it is better but when they heated up the needle and put it in my toe it was the second worst pain I have ever felt.  The first is when I tore my hamstring in my last track meet; remember that.  So since Friday I have been in the house doing nothing but reading the Book of Mormon in Italian and read 20 chapters and snacking.  Just staying inside on your mission isn’t too fun because there is really nothing to do! So that is why nothing much happened this week so I can’t tell about teaching stories because we havent had any sorry:(

no i havent washed my pants in vinegar yet. well everything here is already super expensive so i dont see it going up anytime soon. Josh is moving to Utah for what exactly and with who? Thank goodness about Jared, I was getting a little worried. Tell him I’m happy for him.
Until next week, Love
Jake
