Well I felt no earthquake at all but the snow here is ridiculous. I can’t believe how much snow we have. I will send you some pictures, at least a foot over night and I don’t see any sign of it stopping soon. I am at a really expensive internet place right now so i will try and right some more.
Modena is only an hour train train ride from Mantova where I have been. I left on Thursday for the transfer and some other missionary took one of my bags with all my missionary clothes in it, ties, pants, suits, shirts everything. I found a better bag in the apartment but it is a little smaller so I just put all my missionary clothes in one bag. So then I called the zone leaders to call around the zone to find my bag and it was in Bologna. I had to take a train to there to get it on Saturday and I’m out of money so thats why I had to pull personal money. So I was basically in one shirt and one pair of pants for 3 days Thursday to Saturday. Wow, I forgot how hard it is to memorize a city especially when Modena is bigger than Mantova, so I’m working on that and the snow and the cold right now are killing me. It is funny to see Italian people drive in this snow it is so much and they aren’t plowing it because they arent used to the snow so every where is just packed. Also being on a bike in the snow is ridiculous, I can’t tell you how many times I have eaten it cause I can’t control my bike. But the work is great here. I have heard they baptize at least once a transfer which is amazing. We should have a baptism this Saturday, a man from Nigeria named Anthony.
Anziano Owens and I seem like we are going to get along pretty well. I’m excited. Monday we scambied with the zone leaders and I went with Anziano Mesaros my grandpa. Anziano Glowa was my dad because he trained me and Anziano Mesaros trained Glowa so that makes him my Grandpa. Haha. He didnt know the city and I don’t know the city and we had an appointment to get to. We ended up getting there by some miracle and then getting back that was the fun part. One, it was freezing out side and two, we were in one part of town teaching and we had to get to other side of town so that is a 30 min bike ride if you know where you are going. It took us about 45 minutes to an hour to get home in the freezing cold but it was fun cause my Grandpa is soo cool. and We get paid an extra 10 euro a month now so that will be super nice!
thats ok about the package, I can wait Have fun with the girls talk to you next week.
love you.
Jake
