7th Week in Italy

Wednesday, September 28, 2011 4:17 AM
buon di,

Door knocking is great because they are just big apartments everywhere like new york and most of them have elevators. so thats pretty nice.  old people usually get really mad and dont want to listen to us they are very stubborn!   we are going to be using the young mens program to find the family we are going to baptize and will be awesome also we were doing  a lot of parco or park finding but now it gets dark at around 7 or something like that so we are doing more casa or house finding. it gets hot as a missionary, you're in the sun all day and plus its free to have the other missionary shave it for you. so im sure thats why dilan that too. not to sound mean or anything but im kinda of glad you cant just "show up to italy or anything it would really distract me if you came and make my work kinda hard.
the lady at the hospital just said no im not interested im here to donate blood and thats all.
im soo glad bsu is just rolling people over that makes me sooo happy and they are number four hopefully number 2 by the end of the season!
the mission office is fine to send stuff i dont really look at our adress but courtney terry has  it i sent her a letter with it on it soo if you see her or at the mortensens just ask kent for her number. oh i just thought in my package also some burts bees chapstick please. january that is coming fast. he will love it but maybe not the mtc for 9 weeks haha.

all my clothes are doing fine they are for missionarys remember haha but my white shirts are getting pretty dirty. and my garments i just need to buy bleach sometimes i wonder why white!

i dont teach until the sunday 2 sundays after general conference im not set apart yet. but i am going to control everything it will be fun. we go to verona to watch general conference at their church it is sooo beautiful i will have to take pics of it and send it. what about zone leaders? im soo glad its cooling off and we start wearing suits on oct. 1st and also we found an italian skinny suit in our closet that isnt his that another missionary left and it is beat up little but we are going to ruin it more we are going to trade off wearing it everyday haha. and my trainer said winter is where you destroy everything so i have to make sure i dont ruin my suits to bad this winter haha. good thing i got the armor! dilan and i are writing eachother.
so this week was kinda cool we have no investigators because we dropped everyone because they werent progressing so we are focusing on going through investigators faster and tell if they are legit or not from the first lesson we teach. we are going to do a lot of casa and find people that want to listen and progress. and i went on a scambio or exchange with another trainer with the other guy went with my trainer and i stayed in verona and i have been with him before he is way cool. so we did it for monday tuesday and we are coming back today but monday we found a sweet awesome old lady that hates the catholic church a lot! and she wouldnt take the book of mormon without buying it so she said how much i only have 30 euro and i know its worth more than that so we said no 5 is fine and she looked at us in shock but we give them out free anyway. so she only had a ten and we sold a book of mormon for 10 euro but she wouldnt keep the money. then their is this micheal jackson impersonater and we just said lets talk to him he was on a break on a bench and was actually pretty cool. he already has a book of mormon and we are going to find him today and get his number. and ice cream is soo good here or gelato and i had my first canoli they are bomb too. i love the food here im going to get so fat.  and people here look at us so funny all the time and think we are jehovahs witnessess it is dumb so people wont talk to us because they are too stubborn for us to explain that this church is different and the only true church on the earth. and thats what happened this week.

                 love you all,

                    anziano strong
